Oh my goodness! I promise I have not forgotten about my blog. Haha. I have been soo busy this week! Let me tell you a little bit about it.
First of all, I’m still in high school (Junior year) so I’ve been busy trying to make all A’s. So that’s busy in itself because it’s the end of the year and they love to pile on the homework in the last few weeks.
Well on Monday night I was in the Spring concert at school. I’m in ensemble because I love to sing so much! Tuesday was a really big day because I finally got my license! Yes! The lady who did the test was kinda intimidating but that’s okay. I got through it. Then Wednesday I had to do a lot of homework and then I had to help with Kids For Christ club at church. Then Thursday I had to go get my dress for a military ball the next day! It was mint green! I also had to to study for a huge test the next day so I had to study a bunch! Man that was stressful..
Well this weekend has been amazing! Well school was okay yesterday (lets not mention that math test I didn’t even get to finish..), but I was looking forward to that night so it was okay. After school, I went home and started getting ready for military ball! My sweetheart is in JROTC (he’s a Junior too). This was the third military ball I’d been to with him. Anyways, mom helped me with my hair and I did my makeup and put on on my dress! I felt so special!
When mom dropped me off with my love, we took pictures. Tons of them. Haha! Then time for the ball. It was amazing. The formal portion was nice and the food was very good, but my favorite part was the dancing. I am horrible at dancing, but it sure was fun! Slow dancing with the love of my life was the highlight of my night. Oh man I love him so much.
Well today was my birthday! I turned 17! I spent the day with my man today. He spoiled me by taking me out to eat Japanese. Then he let me drive him around a little! I think he was scared.. He gave me the best birthday ever though. So now you know why I wasn’t able to blog this week. I might do more journal-ish blogs again. Let me know what you guys think! Much love! 🙂
Let me tell you a little something about me. I am always reading a book. There is never a time when I don’t at least have a book I’m reading or about to read. Sometimes I get asked why I love to read so much. Some people just don’t understand why I find joy in reading book after book. So let me tell you why I love it so much.
Reading takes me into a whole other world. Diving into a book enables me to forget about my little world for a little while and jump into someone else’s shoes. When I read I am completely zoned into what I’m reading. Sometimes after tests at school, we have a little time to chill while everyone finishes. Well I always bring a book to read in my spare time so after I take a test I’ll just read. When we go back to doing something in class, I just feel so disorientated. I feel like everyone around me should feel what I feel, but they’re still just sitting there unaffected.
Also, I’ve realized that reading can really help you expand your vocabulary, and just your knowledge all around, especially when you read a variety of things. I try to read a mystery one week, a love story the next, and then maybe a classic. I have to have variation, and the great thing is, you will never run out of things to read.
So if your a “booknerd” like me, I commend you! If you don’t really read, give it a try. You might really enjoy it.
I’ve been home all day. It’s been nice, but I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. I worked on a paper for English, wrote in my journal, listened to music, read, ect., but I’ve also been able to think. Not just about what I was going to have for supper or what I was going to wear tomorrow. I just sat there and thought about life. About everything.
I’m not going to lie. My life has been a roller coaster lately. It’s like going to an amusement park and riding the biggest roller coaster and finally getting to the end, and you hear the breaks screech, and you halt to a stop finally. Then all the sudden, no one let’s you off and it starts going again. Over and over again.
I hasn’t been all bad, but it hasn’t been all good either. I’m just not quite sure what to do, but if we didn’t have times like these, life would be so boring though, but that fact doesn’t make it any easier. I’m just waiting for everything to fall back into place. It’s like I am a five year old with a hundred piece puzzle. I have all the pieces, but I don’t know what the heck to do with them! Haha.
I’m sorry for ranting. I try to be uplifting on here, but this post was the opposite. I’ll finish by saying that I know there’s hope and everything will be okay, but for now I’m just waiting for the instructor to let me off this roller coaster. 😉
In the past couple of days, I’ve been able to spend time with my best friend. We used to spend just about every day together, but now we only see each other every once and a while due to being so busy. I love how we can go months without seeing each other, but when we see each other it’s like we were never apart.
Life get’s so busy, and the older you get, the more you learn who you’re real friends are. Real friend are the people that will always make time for you no matter how crazy life gets. Real friends will drop anything to help you when you need them. Real friend will never judge you no matter what you do. Also, real friends will tell you like it is. If it wasn’t for the honesty of my closest friends, I would not be where I am now..
I am so thankful for the friends that have been so true in my life. If you have a real friend, hang on to them because they are hard to find.
I have tons of hobbies. I write, sing, read, knit, ect., but my favorite thing to do is journal. I just love writing down my memories, thoughts, and dreams. Although it may not be for everyone, I’m going to give you 4 reasons why you should give it a shot.
Reason #1: Helps Relieve Stress. Sometimes the events of our every day lives can become overwhelming, and you just feel like you can’t even think straight. Well it really helps to write your thoughts feelings down. It enables you to free your mind and think more clearly. It is like having a personal therapist anytime you need one.
Reason #2: You Can Look Back. A great thing about journaling is that you are able to look back and see what you’ve gone through. Also if you ever need to smile, try to flip through your journal and find a happy memory.
Reason #3: Sharpens Your Memory. When you write down the events of your day, you are digging back into your mind; therefore, it will make you remember it longer. Plus, the mere act of writing something down is good for memory too.
Reason #4: You Can Pass It Down. One of the biggest reasons to journal is so that you will have something to pass down to your children that they can pass down to their children and so on and so on. People will be able to see what your life was like, and they can still feel connected to you many years after you are gone.
So why not give it a try? You might really enjoy it! Just buy a journal (leather ones work very well), and get yourself a favorite pen, and write away! 🙂
My love. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. These past few years with you have been simply amazing. You make me fall deeper in love more and more each day.
We’ve had so many fun memories together. Like when we sing off key in your car together. Or when we act silly and don’t make sense. Or when we go to the mall just to walk. Or when we sit in parking lots in deep conversations then leave the place because we forgot what we went there for. You get the idea. Haha. 🙂
Also I love how you never get upset with me even though I am stubborn and hard to reason with sometimes. I love how you never give up on me. You are my rock. You hold me when I cry. You make me laugh when I’m sad. You always tell me to keep my head up and be strong.
No matter where this life takes us, I will always be standing behind you. I’ve got your back. I’m not only your girlfriend, I’m your partner in crime, and together we can conquer this world!
I love you so much.
Forever and always.💜
You know what freaks me out sometimes? Things that I can’t control. Personally I am a perfectionist and I love when I can just make things run smoothly. But I have some bad news for everyone like me.
YOU CAN’T CONTROL EVERYTHING!
Bummer, I know, but it’s so true. Think about it this way.. If you could control every single detail of your life, wouldn’t it be boring? If we could control everything, we would know exactly what was going to happen all the time! We would never go through trials that made us stronger. We wouldn’t make any mistakes to learn from. We would miss so many opportunities in life!
Now don’t get me wrong, it is wise to prepare for anything you may face, but don’t stress over it! People (me included) take up so much time stressing over things, and once whatever you stressed out about is over, you realize it went better than you could have even imagined. Most of the things people worry and stress about NEVER even happen. You can be your own worst enemy sometimes!
So next time something is coming up and you don’t know how to handle it, just let go, and JUST LET LIFE HAPPEN.
